Oak Park Varsity Eagles got on the board in the top of the second inning after Luke Sater singled to center field, and Noah Goodheart laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run. Oak Park Varsity Eagles added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after David Wan singled to left field, Max Brusca singled to right field, and Goodheart grounded out, each scoring one run.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles captured the lead, 3-1, in the top of the second after Dalton Walker hit a sacrifice fly, Sebastian Rad walked, and Fillmore committed an error, each scoring one run.

Fillmore tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a walk by #4, and a sacrifice fly by #5.

A wild pitch gave Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles the lead, 4-3, in the top of the third.

#17 hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Fillmore tie the game at four in the bottom of the third.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles captured the lead, 7-4, in the top of the sixth after Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles scored on a wild pitch, Joshua Joel singled to center field, and Brady Breckley was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

February 25, 2022: Fillmore, CA 93015In Friday’s non-league game, the visiting Oak Park Eagles baseball team scored a tight 10-5 victory over the Fillmore Flashes.

The Eagles (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Camarillo (Camarillo, CA). The Scorpions go into the Coastal Canyon game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Camarillo tipped Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA), 5-2, in a non-league game.

The Flashes (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Thacher (Ojai, CA). The Toads go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Thacher was overwhelmed by Nordhoff (Ojai, CA), 11-7, in a non-league game.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles Takes Victory Over Fillmore, 8-4

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles took home an 8-4 victory over Fillmore on Friday.

Fillmore got things started in the second inning. Fillmore scored one run when #5 doubled.

In the top of the third inning, Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles tied things up at one when an error scored one run for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles and Luke Sater’s sac fly scored one run for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles was led by Sater, Daniel Messe, and Sonny De La Torre, all knocking in runs in the inning.

John Pemberton was the winning pitcher for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles. The hurler allowed six hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking zero. Jack Brinckerhoff, Chris Blackwell, and Ian Schack all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Three Oak Park Eagles Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against Fillmore Flashes

Oak Park Eagles defeated Fillmore Flashes 16-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jaxon Jordan struck out Zavala to finish off the game.

James Pernin collected four hits in six at bats to help lead Oak Park Eagles to victory. Pernin singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the fifth.

Oak Park Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Pernin singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Eagles tallied ten runs in the fifth inning. Oak Park Eagles put the pressure on, lead by singles by Gavin Gudino, Pernin, and Michael Munoz, walks by Nico De La Torre and Tony Barbello, doubles by Barbello and Pernin, and an error on a ball put in play by Landon Holmes.

One bright spot for Fillmore Flashes was a double by Avila in the first inning.

Quest Finnan pitched Oak Park Eagles to victory. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Brode Gann and Jordan entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Avila took the loss for Fillmore Flashes. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three.

Oak Park Eagles JV coasted to an easy victory over Filmore Flashes 15-5 on Monday

Oak Park Eagles JV opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Oak Park Eagles JV.

Aman Kar earned the win for Oak Park Eagles JV. He went three innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out two. Sean Hurley and Neal Purohit entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Jose took the loss for Filmore Flashes. He went two and a third innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out one.

Oak Park Eagles JV racked up 15 hits on the day. Kar, Max Gudino, and Josh Meyer all managed multiple hits for Oak Park Eagles JV. Gudino and Kar all had three hits to lead Oak Park Eagles JV. Oak Park Eagles JV tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Gavin Gudino led the way with two.

Andy went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Filmore Flashes in hits.
