Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles beat Foothill Tech Dragons JV 8-5 on Saturday.

In the first inning, Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles got their offense started. Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles scored one run when Breyden Hall singled.

Foothill Tech Dragons JV knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the second inning. Bondy singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Noah Goodheart singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Porter Nicoll singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Richie Sanchez singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles, and Kobiyashi doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles knocked in seven runs in the first on its way to an 11-2 victory over Foothill Tech Dragons on Saturday. Oak Park Varsity Eagles’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Ryan Kobayashi, Jared Cornick, Ethan Smith, and Gavin Manzo and by Jackson Weir and Jadon Holmes.

In the first inning, Oak Park Varsity Eagles got their offense started when Weir was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Weir was the winning pitcher for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The ace lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out four. Holmes threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Despite a 4-run deficit in the fourth inning, Oak Park Eagles almost came all the way back, eventually falling 8-7 to Foothill Tech Dragons on Saturday. Oak Park Eagles scored five runs in the failed comeback. Luke Sater, Danny Messe, Ryan Kobayashi, and Zack picked up RBIs to lead the rally.

Oak Park Eagles was right in it until Foothill Tech Dragons singled in the sixth inning.

Oak Park Eagles got out to a seven-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 9-7 victory over Foothill Tech Dragons on Saturday. Foothill Tech Dragons managed five runs in the failed comeback. PlayerB, PlayerF, PlayerG, PlayerH, and PlayerI came through with RBIs to lead the rally.

California High School Baseball – St. Genevieve loses to Oak Park

The St. Genevieve Valiants baseball team (Panorama City, CA), was overwhelmed 8-1 in Saturday’s non-league outing with the host Oak Park Eagles (Oak Park, CA)

The Eagles now hold a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fillmore for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 15.

Next, the Valiants confront the Channel Islands Raiders (Oxnard, CA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, February 18. St. Genevieve will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
