Late Score Costs Oak Park Eagles Against Ventura Cougars

Oak Park Eagles lost the lead late in a 5-2 defeat to Ventura Cougars on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Ventura Cougars batting in the top of the ninth when an error scored two runs for Ventura Cougars.

Oak Park Eagles got on the board in the second inning when Jack Fisher grounded out, scoring one run.

T Ruby earned the victory on the mound for Ventura Cougars. The ace surrendered one run on zero hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one. A Lopez threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jaxon Jordan took the loss for Oak Park Eagles. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out three.

T Woodworth started the game for Ventura Cougars. The pitcher surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out three Quest Finnan started the game for Oak Park Eagles. The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out seven and walking one

Ty Viane led Oak Park Eagles with two hits in three at bats.

Ventura Cougars collected six hits on the day. D Dathrego and D Lucera each had multiple hits for Ventura Cougars. Ventura Cougars stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. R Aldana led the way with two.
