Landon Holmes Drives in Five to Oak Park Varsity Eagles Victory Over St. Monica Academy

Landon Holmes was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Tuesday, driving in five on two hits to lead Oak Park Varsity Eagles past St. Monica Academy 21-2 on Tuesday. Holmes drove in runs on a single in the second and a home run in the fifth.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Abhinav Chinnam doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles put up nine runs in the third inning. Zachary Elbaum, Daniel Messe, Holmes, Griffin Hurley, Ryan Kobayashi, and Andrew Rosen each had RBIs in the big inning.

Jackson Weir was the winning pitcher for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking zero. Gavin Manzo threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Alex Rosenberger started the game for St. Monica Academy. The pitcher allowed seven hits and 15 runs over three innings. Dan Yumbar threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles launched two home runs on the day. Rosen went deep in the third inning. Holmes had a dinger in the fifth inning.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles tallied ten hits in the game. Kobayashi and Holmes each managed multiple hits for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. Holmes and Kobayashi each collected two hits to lead Oak Park Varsity Eagles. Oak Park Varsity Eagles tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Jack Brinckerhoff led the way with two.
