Oak Park Varsity Eagles Trounce Fillmore Varsity Flashes By GameChanger Media Oak Park Varsity Eagles won big over Fillmore Varsity Flashes 10-3 on Friday.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles got on the board in the top of the second inning after Luke Sater singled to center field, and Noah Goodheart laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run. Oak Park Varsity Eagles added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after David Wan singled to left field, Max Brusca singled to right field, and Goodheart grounded out, each scoring one run.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles scored five runs on two hits in the top of the sixth inning. Tyler Perez drew a walk, scoring one run, Preston Spiker induced Aaron Berro to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Tyler Kutsch singled, scoring one run, Gary Gray was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Matt Leehey singled, scoring one run.

Wan stepped on the hill first for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The hurler surrendered four hits and three runs (zero earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking none. Adrian Magana opened the game for Fillmore Varsity Flashes. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and six runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking four. Gray pitched two and one-third innings of zero-run ball for Oak Park Varsity Eagles in relief. The righty gave up one hit, striking out one and walking one.

Goodheart led Oak Park Varsity Eagles with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. Kutsch and Brusca each collected two hits for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. Henry Rizzotti led Oak Park Varsity Eagles with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Sater stole two bases.
