Oak Park Varsity Eagles Stymied By Camarillo Varsity Scorpions

Oak Park Varsity Eagles couldn’t keep up with Camarillo Varsity Scorpions and fell 11-1 on Wednesday.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored one run.

Camarillo Varsity Scorpions made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the first after Boston Bateman drew a walk, scoring one run, and David Wan induced Jordan Gutierrez to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored.

Camarillo Varsity Scorpions added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Wan induced Trotter Enright to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and Brayden Smith singled, scoring two runs.

Bateman earned the win for Camarillo Varsity Scorpions. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out 11 and walking none. Wan took the loss for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out one and walking one.
