Oak Park Varsity Eagles Fall After Strong Showing By Buena Bulldogs
Oak Park Varsity Eagles couldn’t keep up with Buena Bulldogs and fell 14-6 Saturday.
Buena Bulldogs were the first to get on the board in the first to get on the board when #7 singled, scoring one run.
Oak Park Varsity Eagles flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on six hits to take a 5-3 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Henry Rizzotti that drove in two.
Jackson Weir singled on the seventh pitch of the at-bat, which helped Oak Park Varsity Eagles tie the game at the six in the top of the fifth. Weir started on the bump for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. They allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) walking one.
