Royal Highlanders Captures Lead Early to Defeat Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles

Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-3 loss to Royal Highlanders on Friday. Royal Highlanders scored on a single by Perry, a walk by Burrow, and a double by Perez in the first inning.

Royal Highlanders fired up the offense in the first inning, when Perry singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles notched three runs in the second inning. The rally was led by a single by Tyler Kutsch and a double by Breyden Hall.

Burrow led the Royal Highlanders to victory on the hill. The hurler surrendered three runs on three hits over three innings, striking out four. Manos and Tabora entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Joshua Alden took the loss for Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out three.
