Moorpark Musketeers Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

Oak Park Varsity Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 16-2 loss to Moorpark Musketeers on Friday. Moorpark Musketeers scored on a error in the first inning, a single by Happy Edwards in the first inning, a single by Zack Serup in the first inning, and a double by Landon Gaz in the second inning.

The Oak Park Varsity Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Moorpark Musketeers, giving up 16 runs.

In the first inning, Moorpark Musketeers got their offense started when an error scored one run for Moorpark Musketeers.

Moorpark Musketeers scored six runs in the fourth inning. Gaz, Nate Navarro, Junior Stillwagon, Edwards, and Serup all drove in runs in the frame.

Stillwagon was on the hill for Moorpark Musketeers. The pitcher surrendered two runs on six hits over six innings, walking zero.

Gavin Manzo started the game for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The hurler surrendered 14 runs on 12 hits over four innings, striking out two. Landon Holmes and Griffin Hurley entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.

William Malinzak, Holmes, Ian Schack, Jackson Weir, Abhinav Chinnam, and Jack Brinckerhoff all had one hit to lead Oak Park Varsity Eagles.

Moorpark Musketeers racked up 16 hits. Greg Lareva, Edwards, Gaz, and AJ Mai all managed multiple hits for Moorpark Musketeers.
