Early Lead For Camarillo Scorpions Seals Fate For Oak Park Varsity Eagles

Oak Park Varsity Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 16-4 loss to Camarillo Scorpions on Friday. Camarillo Scorpions scored on a single by Tommy Goodin in the first inning, a double by Aguilera in the second inning, a double by Matthew Martinez in the second inning, and a single by Goodin in the second inning.

The Oak Park Varsity Eagles struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Camarillo Scorpions, giving up 16 runs.

Camarillo Scorpions fired up the offense in the first inning. Camarillo Scorpions scored one run when Goodin singled.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles tallied four runs in the third inning. Andrew Rosen, Jadon Holmes, and Jared Cornick each had RBIs in the big inning.

Camarillo Scorpions scored six runs in the fifth inning. Jacob Tostado, Aguilera, Goodin, Troy Arenzana, and Uribe all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Garcia led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Camarillo Scorpions. The bulldog lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out four.

Gavin Manzo led things off on the hill for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out three. Jackson Weir, Gabe Gonzalez, and Sonny De La Torre each contributed in relief for Oak Park Varsity Eagles.

Rosen went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Oak Park Varsity Eagles in hits.

Camarillo Scorpions saw the ball well today, racking up 16 hits in the game. Brandon Contrears, Goodin, Logan Miller, Aguilera, Tostado, and Martinez each managed multiple hits for Camarillo Scorpions.
