Oak Park Varsity Eagles Can’t Catch Up To Camarillo Scorpions
Oak Park Varsity Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-0 loss to Camarillo Scorpions on Wednesday. Camarillo Scorpions scored on a single by Boston Bateman in the first inning and a single by Brandon Contrears in the second inning.
The Oak Park Varsity Eagles struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Camarillo Scorpions, giving up 11 runs.
Camarillo Scorpions opened up scoring in the first inning. Bateman drove in one when Bateman singled.
Bateman led the Camarillo Scorpions to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out 17 and walking zero.
Jadon Holmes was on the hill for Oak Park Varsity Eagles. The bulldog went five innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out two. David Wan, Ian Schack, and Griffin Hurley each contributed in relief for Oak Park Varsity Eagles.
