Oak Park Varsity Eagles Goes Down on Final Play Against Holtville Vikings

A walk-off left Oak Park Varsity Eagles on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Holtville Vikings on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Holtville Vikings batting in the bottom of the seventh when Jason Martinez singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Holtville Vikings pitchers struck out nine, while Oak Park Varsity Eagles sat down three.

Oak Park Varsity Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Ian Schack singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
