Camarillo JV Captures Lead Early to Defeat Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-3 loss to Camarillo JV on Tuesday. Camarillo JV scored on a error during Joseph Govea’s at bat in the first inning, a single by Na Tostado in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Jacob Tostado in the second inning.

The Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Camarillo JV, giving up 11 runs.

Camarillo JV got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run for Camarillo JV.

Camarillo JV scored three runs in the fifth inning. Camarillo JV’s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Gutiettez and a double by Tostado.

Ian Schack took the loss for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles. Schack surrendered five runs on three hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles collected five hits. Schack and Andrew Rosen all managed multiple hits for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles. Rosen and Schack all had two hits to lead Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles.

Camarillo JV saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Lovato, Tostado, Tostado, and Smuth each collected multiple hits for Camarillo JV.
