Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles Can’t Catch Up To Camarillo JV

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-1 loss to Camarillo JV on Tuesday. Camarillo JV took the lead on an error in the first inning.

The Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Camarillo JV, giving up nine runs.

Camarillo JV got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Camarillo JV.

Camarillo JV scored five runs in the fourth inning. Sammy Gonzalez, Kameron Kor, Dale Addison, Jack Carrigan, and Jacob Tostado all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Cameron Muldoon led the Camarillo JV to victory on the hill. The ace went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out four. Gunnar Stevens threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

John Pemberton took the loss for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles. The hurler allowed seven hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Griffin Hurley led Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles with two hits in three at bats.

Camarillo JV tallied nine hits on the day. Carrigan and Kor all managed multiple hits for Camarillo JV. Carrigan went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Camarillo JV in hits.
