Three Oak Park Eagles Pitchers Combine to Defeat Fillmore in Shutout Game

Oak Park Eagles defeated Fillmore 11-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Gavin Manzo induced a fly out from Jathan Magana to finish off the game.

Oak Park Eagles secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the third inning. Abhinav Chinnam, Ulmen, Nico De La Torre, Manzo, Aiden Cass, and Chinnam powered the big inning with RBIs.

Oak Park Eagles put up eight runs in the third inning. Oak Park Eagles put the pressure on, lead by singles by Ulmen, Cass, and Chinnam, doubles by De La Torre and Manzo, and an error on a ball put in play by Chinnam.

One bright spot for Fillmore was a single by Andrew Portugal in the fifth inning.

De La Torre pitched Oak Park Eagles to victory. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Brode Gann and Manzo entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Mathew Magana took the loss for Fillmore. Magana went one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking one.

Manzo led Oak Park Eagles with two hits in two at bats. Oak Park Eagles was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ryan Kobayashi made the most plays with eight.
