Royal Highlanders Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Royal Highlanders on Tuesday. Royal Highlanders scored on a single by Ricker and an error in the first inning.

The Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Royal Highlanders, giving up ten runs.

Royal Highlanders got things moving in the first inning, when Ricker singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles was a single by Chris Blackwell in the third inning.

O’Brien was the winning pitcher for Royal Highlanders. The bulldog lasted six innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out nine and walking zero.

Blackwell took the loss for Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out four.

Blackwell led Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles with one hit in one at bats.

Royal Highlanders racked up nine hits on the day. Ricker and O’Brien all collected multiple hits for Royal Highlanders. Royal Highlanders didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ricker had the most chances in the field with ten.
