Moorpark Musketeers Captures Lead Early to Defeat Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles

Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 7-1 loss to Moorpark Musketeers on Thursday. Moorpark Musketeers scored on a single by Nash Sanders in the first inning, a groundout by Robby Perez in the second inning, and a error in the second inning.

The Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Moorpark Musketeers, giving up seven runs.

In the first inning, Moorpark Musketeers got their offense started. Sanders drove in one when Sanders singled.

Moorpark Musketeers scored three runs in the fourth inning. Moorpark Musketeers scored its runs on a triple by Jack Pryor.

Rylan Smith earned the win for Moorpark Musketeers. Smith allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out five and walking one.

Chris Blackwell took the loss for Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles. The hurler went four innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out two.

Griffin Hurley led Oak Park Frosh/Soph Eagles with two hits in three at bats.

Moorpark Musketeers racked up five hits in the game. Kian La and Pryor all managed multiple hits for Moorpark Musketeers. Moorpark Musketeers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. La led the way with three.
