Oak Park JV Eagles Drops Game to Moorpark Musketeers After Late Score

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles stayed in it until the end, but Moorpark Musketeers pulled away late in a 5-4 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Moorpark Musketeers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Scott singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles put up four runs in the fourth inning. Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles’s offense in the inning came from a single by Tony Barbello, a groundout by Gavin Manzo, a fielder’s choice by Griffin Hurley, and an error on a ball put in play by Daniel Messe.

O’Connell earned the win for Moorpark Musketeers. The pitcher surrendered two runs on two hits over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Eisenstein threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Eisenstein recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Moorpark Musketeers.

Nico De La Torre took the loss for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles. The bulldog allowed three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out one.

Ryan Ulmen started the game for Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles. The hurler surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, walking zero Chapman started the game for Moorpark Musketeers. The fireballer went three innings, allowing two runs on zero hits and striking out four

Hurley and Barbello each collected one hit to lead Oak Park Junior Varsity Eagles.

Adams led Moorpark Musketeers with two hits in three at bats.
