Oak Park Eagles Can’t Catch Up To Camarillo Scorpions

Oak Park Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 14-0 loss to Camarillo Scorpions on Thursday. Camarillo Scorpions scored on a single by Bateman in the first inning, a error in the first inning, a single by Alvarez in the second inning, a fielder’s choice by Aguilera in the second inning, and a single by Sadowsky in the second inning.

The Oak Park Eagles struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Camarillo Scorpions, giving up 14 runs.

Camarillo Scorpions opened up scoring in the first inning, when Bateman singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

A single by Jaxon Jordan in the second inning was a positive for Oak Park Eagles.

Kramer led the Camarillo Scorpions to victory on the mound. The fireballer surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out six and walking zero. Cook, Armstrong, and #15 all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

James Pernin took the loss for Oak Park Eagles. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out one.

Jordan, Pernin, and Bennett Price each managed one hit to lead Oak Park Eagles.

Camarillo Scorpions tallied 17 hits. Sadowsky, Schardt, Bateman, Alvarez, and Hiji all managed multiple hits for Camarillo Scorpions. Camarillo Scorpions tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Alvarez led the way with two. Camarillo Scorpions was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Gaglio had the most chances in the field with six.
