Oak Park Eagles Loses Lead Early in Defeat

Oak Park Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 15-0 loss to Simi Valley Pioneers on Thursday. Simi Valley Pioneers scored on a error in the first inning, a sacrifice fly by Boylan in the first inning, a single by Pena in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Orsini in the second inning.

The Oak Park Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Simi Valley Pioneers, giving up 15 runs.

Simi Valley Pioneers got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run for Simi Valley Pioneers.

One bright spot for Oak Park Eagles was a single by Ty Viane in the first inning.

Phipps earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Simi Valley Pioneers. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out ten and walking zero. Casagrande threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Quest Finnan took the loss for Oak Park Eagles. Finnan surrendered eight runs on six hits over two innings, striking out one.

James Pernin, Jack Fisher, Viane, and Bennett Price each managed one hit to lead Oak Park Eagles.

Simi Valley Pioneers collected 11 hits. Boylan, Pena, And Nykoluk, and Silecchio each managed multiple hits for Simi Valley Pioneers. Simi Valley Pioneers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. B Sawyer made the most plays with eight.
