Three Oak Park Eagles Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against Fillmore Flashes

Oak Park Eagles defeated Fillmore Flashes 16-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jaxon Jordan struck out Zavala to finish off the game.

James Pernin collected four hits in six at bats to help lead Oak Park Eagles to victory. Pernin singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the fifth.

Oak Park Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Pernin singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Oak Park Eagles tallied ten runs in the fifth inning. Oak Park Eagles put the pressure on, lead by singles by Gavin Gudino, Pernin, and Michael Munoz, walks by Nico De La Torre and Tony Barbello, doubles by Barbello and Pernin, and an error on a ball put in play by Landon Holmes.

One bright spot for Fillmore Flashes was a double by Avila in the first inning.

Quest Finnan pitched Oak Park Eagles to victory. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Brode Gann and Jordan entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Avila took the loss for Fillmore Flashes. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three.

Oak Park Eagles saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Pernin, Jack Fisher, and Jordan all managed multiple hits for Oak Park Eagles. Pernin led Oak Park Eagles with four hits in six at bats.

Avila went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Fillmore Flashes in hits.
